Ford Launches Recall Tied to Potential Stalling Risks

According to a series of news reports, dangerous windows and defective fuel pumps may have been behind the latest Ford recall.
The campaign was launched after the company announced that over 91,000 vehicles sold in North America had been fitted with fuel pump control modules that could be at risk of failing. Since this issue could cause the engine to stall unexpectedly, there might be a risk that it could lead to a crash.
Vehicles impacted by the recall include the 2013 through 2015 Ford Taurus, Lincoln MKS, Lincoln MKT SUVs and Ford Police Interceptor sedans.
Other vehicles such as the 2015 and 2016 Ford Transit vehicles will also have to have their fuel injection pumps replaced.
A second recall launched by Ford has also been associated with window issues. According to reports, the company should be announcing a recall campaign to have the power window software in 23,000 vehicles updated. Impacted vehicles include the 2017 Ford Escape.
