Your Lexus Could be Soon Experiencing Braking Issues

As several news reports pointed out, Toyota has launched a recall campaign that impacts all units of the 2016 Toyota RAV4, Lexus ES350, and Lexus RX350 vehicles.

The campaign was launched after the company learned that the recalled vehicles have been fitted with brake actuators that may be faulty.

These parts were supplied by Advics North America, and according to Toyota, the Anti-Lock Braking systems in these vehicles, as well as the Traction Control System, and Vehicle Stability Control System are all controlled by the potentially faulty actuator. If this particular part does not work correctly, the brake fluid pressure may not be properly controlled while these systems are being activated. Depending on how the pressure fluctuates, drivers could end up having to experience longer braking times, which could then lead to an accident since drivers may not be able to stop their vehicles in time.

Consumers with the recalled vehicles are being urged to pay attention to their mailbox. Toyota should be contacting consumers with the recalled vehicles by June 5. Once you receive an official notice from the manufacturer, bring the recalled vehicle to the dealer so the potentially defective parts can be replaced promptly.
