Proper Running Gear — Shoes

Running is the most simplest of exercises, yet it is important to have the right gear to benefit from it. First thing to consider? Shoes.
Shoes are the single most important gear that you will require. Each of us have different feet. Your feet may be flat, high-arched, or neutral.
The best way to find your foot type is by visiting a local shoe store which specializes in running shoes. Be-aware, do not go to a discount chain store which sells shoes for every activity. They won’t have the expertise to guide you. Just do an Internet search to locate a running shoe store near you.
Your foot expands as the day goes by. Remember to buy the shoes later during the day so that you don’t end up with a smaller shoe. The associate at the shoe store will check your feet type, look at your running stride and your body mechanics and recommend a few shoes to you. Try all of them and choose the one which feels and looks best to you.
Running shoes are not cheap but they are worth it and once you like a pair then you should stick to them. Buy one pair and use it for 2–4 weeks. If it’s the right shoe than just go on the Internet and order 1–2 additional pairs so that you are covered for years to come. Also, you will get it for a much lower price from the Internet.
