Ponte Vecchio, Bassano del Grappa. Located in the Veneto region, the bridge was originally built in the late 1560s by famous renaissance architect Andrea Palladio.

Over the years the bridge has been destroyed and rebuilt 7 times, including being destroyed by Italian Partisans during the Second World War. The bridge was rebuilt after the war by a local company, many of whose workers were veteran Alpini troops. The bridge holds a special place in the hearts of the Alpini troops due to the bridge being used by them on their march to the Alpine front in the First World War. Because of this, the bridge commonly also goes by the name Ponte degli Alpini.
