“a missed step-back jumper with a hand in his face”

Noticed that same play — either take the open catch&shoot or pump&drive, but pump & step-back’s lowest % option. Shump’s acceptance/embracing his 3&D role is key for LBJ/Cavs’ future. (On a semi-related note: Used to get annoyed by LBJ’s whip-passes, like they were showing-off — have come to realize they’re ruthlessly effective in his drive&kick-out scheme, but wonder, would he be better served making the simpler pass & then letting the ball rotate, instead of the homerun/cross-court whip that he has to throw so hard to get through all the extra defensive traffic that it’s off-line &/or pulls the receiver outta rhythm by it’s velocity?)
