A drawing of the city as a collection of architectural eccentricities (Atelier Bow Wow: Made in Tokyo)

Figure 1: this is process 1.
Figure 2: draw by myself-proccess 2

For this technique, I used a drawing of the city as a collection of architectural eccentricities. Firstly, Figure 4 is from Made In Tokyo by Atelier Bow Wow. The author drew a series of buildings, these buildings are just general buildings. It shows different style buildings and put this buildings in one city. As we know, It has some different function in each building, Tokyo is a crowded city so there are some restaurant, shop, apartment and market in one building or one more. Secondly, I research some buildings in Sydney and find some detail to know this architecture. About Figure 2, this process I draw this building and put them togther. Next, in Figure 3, I draw some different buildings in a map that is about Sydney. I choose the city in Sydney because there are a lot of different types’ building like modern buildings and classical buildings such as Westfield and church. This buildings also has some different function. For example, first, QVB located in town hall that is a shopping center and it has a train station underground that it is very convenience. Second, Central park mall has supermarket, shops, apartment and a garden. Next, there is a line train near by Chinese Bank. Due to three examples, this then introduces buildings and artworks that can be defined as ‘eccentric’. This architecture also has different type of structure that shows the shape, line and space when you through the building. This technique can learn how to use space and how to distribute function in each parts. I think put different buildings together that is a collection of architecture. Overall, through this technique, I understand that reasonable to use the space is significant part of architecture and how to collect the architectural eccentricity.
