Either the issue is a bug and therefore takes priority, or as is more often the case, the issue can be reclassified as an improvement or even a new feature, and it can be prioritized in the backlog

One can reclassify all one wants, but this is just semantics. If it impacts the product, you’ll need to fix it! If it doesn’t then no agile team I’ve ever heard of would force the developers to stop in-Sprint-work for an out-of-Sprint bug…
