Is 9:30 am here so I will not go into a full-lenght, academic response, escencially I just want to clarify two things:
United States=/=The West
The West=/=The World
Nowadays the confucian civilization (China as a whole, Japan, Koreas and Singapur)have a deep respect for intelligence, so big that some of them can be clasified as practicaly meritocracies. So don’t generalize the apocaliptic analisis, because the humanity doesn’t relly on USA (thanks God, Allah, Buda, Krishna, Cuthullu, etc.)
