Reaching that plateau really sucks and I’m glad you have the self awareness to recognize that there’s something you can do about it. You don’t have to resign yourself to “That’s just the way it is!” nor do you have to quit.
Unless of course there are things at your current firm that are really hindering your progress.
I worked with Terry (not her real name) a while ago and it turned out that her boss was holding her back from moving further in the company. You can read it here.
There might be a risk that there’s a system in place at your firm that might be hard for you to overcome. You really need to look at whether or not this is the case for you.
Barring that I think that you’re absolutely right and that it’s a fantastic opportunity for growth.
