Welcome to Day 25 of

To Be A Product Manager

Yesterday I was kind of lost. I don’t know what my goals are, and I don’t I’ve done during working hours. After I got home, I watched a movie called Paterson, a very simple love story with some beautiful poems in the movie.

When I went to the bed, I still didn’t feel like doing anything. This morning, the same… I skipped my morning routine of reading, writing and even exercising. Then I received this message, it’s one of my WeChat blog followers, she said how my articles change a lof of her mindsets and unleash her from the traditional education background, and pursue something she really want in her life.

I was honored and content, after the breakfast, I felt so much better and walked to office.

Goals

  • Testing MVP and report the bugs
  • VR lobby suggestions

Updates

I reread Julie Zhuo’s articles about product design and thought this graph is valuable to share with every product people.

Being useful is always more important than being beautiful. I put some picture and VR lobby ideas together today, and also write down pros and cons of each style.

I download a lot of podcast apps yesterday, want to test them and choose a new one. I’m an Android user, I use Castbox in the past. It’s an app developed by Chinese, and has so many ads on every screen.

I found that ads are everywhere among podcast app, which is so annoying. Then I found Player FM. Too many layers make this app a little messy, but it doesn’t have ads!!!

I also deleted apps that require you to type in your email and password again after you choose to login with facebook or google account. The login process should be as simple as possible.

My name is Zake Zhang, a rookie VR product manager based in Shenzhen, China. I’m thinking what if I write daily product journal for 1,000 days?

Thanks for reading! I really appreciate your time!

Warm Regards,

Zake

be so good they can’t ignore you.
