So a Paramedic?
So with proper training, you’re saying that Uber driver could be essentially a paramedic but with their own cars…?
Please correct me if I’m wrong. I’m assuming most Uber drivers aren’t currently trained with using defibrilators, administering epi-pens, or any sorts of things a paramedic or a EMT is trained for?
With statistics it’s easy to see correlations I’m sure of that. There is also a very different piece of statistics (as well as physics) we sometimes forget which is, “Correlation does not imply causation.”
What I read was “Time with ambulance vs Time with Uber” and then you lead with “Heart attack survival rate” by itself without much transition or context. You said with an idea that readers would read that ambulances in NY take this long but also a person with a heart attack’s survival time is only this.
This article looks like click-bait. I also believe that this is click-bait with little to no proper information on what you wanted it to be.
I hope people don’t start using Uber to go to hospital instead of calling for an ambulance because as you said in your article, they will need to go through proper training.
