The joys of traveling

Day 22 of 100

Hotels, aka the place I don’t have to make the bed every day. My job has opportunities to travel, and I enjoy traveling to places. I love staying at hotels, trying new food/drinks and trying to talk to others. I enjoy traveling to places because it also gives me breaks from my daily routine.

Hotels

I don’t think I’m a lazy person, I procrastinate, but when I’m at a hotel my normal routine of cleaning goes out the window as I open that door. I can fall onto the bed and fall asleep instantly. Hotels normally have decent irons, so I will iron all of the clothes I brought. They are a great place for me to relax after working and after a night of eating/drinking.

Food and Drinking

When I travel I try to find food places that I don’t have back home. Since I’m out of my comfort zone, I try to take advantage that I need to eat, and look for places that are different. I will order new drinks, expanding my palette from just ciders and fru fru drinks to various others.

People

Traveling gives me the opportunity to meet new people. They can be in the elevator where you can meet some very interesting people. They could be out of country that are visiting as a vacation, and talk about all the delicious food, to the guy in the exercise room that makes good conversation while jogging on the tredmill. I have had many opportunities to talk to so many people that, they have helped me a bit with daily conversation skills that I use to think were pointless.
