For the right of saying “I don’t know”

Thank you for writing this essay. I can certainly relate! I, too, have been criticized for ‘not knowing’ things. From friends who are disgusted that I don’t know exactly how many countries there are in the African continent…to employers whom criticize me for being ‘unprepared’ when I cannot provide information that I didn’t even know existed. They make you feel stupid when you can’t fire back an instantaneous response to any inquiry.
‘I don’t know’ is a completely viable response to a question. Why are we scared of that? Good article. :)
