Deadpool Took Over A Decade

In the time it took for Ryan Reynolds to get Deadpool made, I went from being 9 years old to being 20.

Since 2004 he’s been trying to make this film.

He didn’t give a shit that everyone everywhere made fun of him the first time he played the character. He went all in with one of the weirdest characters ever. It could easily have failed due to a clashing mix of superhero stuff and very adult material.

You have to give it up to him: he cared, he took a big risk, he bled sweat and tears for over a decade, risked his entire career on this insane foul-mouthed douchebag pervert assassin, and his bet paid off. The fans rewarded his passion and sacrifice.

I’m so, so relieved it all worked out so well. The movie is one of the best Deadpool stories of all time, when infinite factors were fighting against that ever happening.
