Something I found interesting is how in your experience you came accross two other marginalized groups: the homeless and elderly. Public transit seems to be designed for one kind of person but it is likely one of the most diverse facilites. Public schools and public housing tend to be more homogeneous compared to public transit from what I have seen.

On a side note… why are transit elevators always broken? I mean I never see elevators in buildings under maintence but every other transit elevator is blocked off. I never used then so I didn’t care to ask till now.
