If You’re still using these Fonts… You need to stop.

Larry, I enjoy your posts, but this one is off the mark. A blanket ban of certain fonts without any context is not helpful. While I have not used Comic Sans in a presentation or on my blog, I cannot say definitively that there is no situation where it could work. And although some of the fonts above make me cringe somewhat, who am I to say that in the right context they will not work?

A concrete example. I agree that writing a sentence in Impact would likely be annoying to read. However, I have used impact in a slide presentation in which I had a full screen image with one work in Impact. It made a great Impact.

I think that the important lesson here is that not every font works in every situation or for every audience. Do your homework and exercise good judgment.

Cheers!
