Identity politics is the exact opposite of seeing “all humanity as one organism.” Identity politics carves humanity up into special interest groups and then holds different groups to different standards, so that black people get certain entitlements white people don’t get, intolerant Christians get held to different standards than intolerant Muslims, etc., and the end result is a lot of anger and hostility in all directions.
