When your health costs you your job
Nicholas C. Zakas

Wow. Thanks for sharing your story. You are lucky to have such a supportive former employer, Box. I have a childhood friend who suffers/suffered Lyme and was out of work for 2+ years (in our early-30s). Her memory was foggy and she had mood swings, which made hanging out difficult at times. At one point, she was on so many medications, myself and another friend questioned it. Some yellow goopy stuff she had to take a few times a day, and a home nurse who would bring thick white substance to give her in shot form that left her with bruises. Eventually, though, she got better. She started working full time again, but then dropped to part time. Now, she moved to a warmer climate, and seems to be getting back on her feet.

You should consider writing more about Lyme because not alot of people, even in healthcare, really understand it. There are lots of false negatives in the testing. And, like MS, doctors have to rule out alot of other causes for the symptoms first.

Anyway, thank you for sharing, again. I wish you well soon. Hang in there. Eventually, you will be healthy enough to return to work.
