Trigger Warnings And The Myth Of Over Sensitive Students
Kimberly Dark

Less than 1% of universities have formal trigger warning policies. I’m not for or against them. However, no one ever complained when the news stations say “the following content may be disturbing.” It literally is the same exact concept and all the sudden its controversial. I find it amusing that society is spending so much time on a concept that is almost non existent.

Exposure therapy wasn’t helpful for vets. However, people heal from trauma in their own ways. Almost always are these policies enacted by professors by choice on class by class basis. Again, less than 1% of universities have formal “safe space/trigger warning policies.” Mountain, meet molehill.
