The red cross estimates that 40% of people living in poverty experience trauma and ptsd.
Spent my whole life in Philly, I’ve seen a lot of people die. I worked as a crisis worker for years. Trauma and PTSD is pandemic. Everywhere. You’ve known plenty of people who act erratically, are easily triggered by others, struggle to control themselves and always end up in 'drama’, or who are addicted to drugs and alcohol (there’s a 85%-90% correlation to those with addiction also having serious trauma in their past.)
Point is…you know tons of people with trauma and ptsd.
