Pulchowki, one of the hills of Kathmandu valley is best known for wide numbers of exceptional birds and flora & fauna. The birding takes you deep into the forest where the smell of woods lingers, and is filled with bird songs and crickets chirp.
An early drive to Phulchowki passing through the typical Newar village itself is a unique experience for the tourists. One could feel some sense of laid-back lifestyle in people living in the villages as you pass as they seem centuries old settlement yet unspoiled. Walking through the dense forest and hiking up to the view point is fascinating to visitors. Further, the magnificent views of Himalayas and Kathmandu valley from the top soothes your all pains and tiredness from the ascendence. Pack a box-lunch, you can nibble your snacks and enjoy the view.
Moreover, Godarvari Botanical Garden at the base of Phulchowki hill and huge Buddha Statue at Shanti Ban on the way are other sites which you should not miss on your trip.
