How to buy $ZNN using pancakeswap
In this article we’re going to cover step-by-step how to buy $ZNN using pancakeswap. This guide has been made with beginners in mind, we don’t want them to be intimidated by the technicality of the process as that can be considered an unnecessary barrier to community growth. And don’t worry about the number of steps, once you have done it a few times it becomes easy and takes less than 5 minutes. We will cover:
- the steps to buying $ZNN (BNB>wBNB>wZNN>ZNN)
- a trick to get a better price
- a workaround for a bug/error which may occur
- how to store your $ZNN in the syrius wallet (and why you should!)
Let’s get started!

- Download metamask. This is a google chrome extension (supported in other browsers) which is also a web wallet. Set it up and store your seed phrase in a safe location and create a password for easy access.
2. Add the “Binance Smart Chain” to your metamask wallet. By default it will be on the Ethereum network, so you will need add a custom network (and input some numbers and letters). Here is the tutorial from Binance website:
Before we go any further, be sure to use only a SMALL amount to TEST the process. As an example, my first buy was only done with $10 worth of coins because it was a small amount I wouldn’t mind losing due to a mistake. Before making larger buys I would encourage you to become confident with the process first.
3. Buy some BNB. Send that BNB to your metamask wallet address BUT be sure to send it via the “binance smart chain”, which is also sometimes called the “smart chain” or “BSC”. Do NOT send it via the “binance chain”, that is something completely different.
In your metamask, switch from the Ethereum Network to the Smart Chain. Make sure the small, test amount of BNB arrives there in your metamask wallet.
4. Wrapping the BNB. Now go to pancakeswap.finance (link below) this functions much like uniswap. Go to trade, then click connect your wallet. Make sure you have BNB selected for the top one, and choose wBNB for the second one underneath. You are “wrapping” your BNB.
Do NOT wrap all of your BNB into wBNB; you need a small amount of just plain BNB as “gas” for all of the swapping and sending you are gonna do. Perhaps leave 0.05 BNB as unwrapped.

5. Now you have a small amount of BNB for gas and a small amount of wBNB; we gotta find wZNN.

Now a tricky part. You need the “contract address”. Can find it on coingecko, also from http://zenon.network if you click “get znn” then “Explore on BscScan” and that page will tell you the contract. The contract should be the same between coingecko and BscScan.
Note: Currently there is only one contract address for the binance smart chain where you can buy wrapped ZNN. In the future there may be other addresses for other chains, but for now, using pancakeswap, we just need the BSC contract address.

The wZNN should appear after you paste the contract address. Note below is the current one at time of writing (possible it may change so don’t trust, verify for yourself).

Keeping up so far? No alien left behind. Your screen should now look like this:

6. Choosing the settings. Now click the settings icon, and choose what you want. I suggest choosing instant gas, 1% slippage and only swapping like 2 wBNB at a time. Otherwise transaction may fail due to the bots sandwiching you, so you’d have to do it again at a slightly higher price.

7. Swapping from wBNB into wZNN:

This should now pop up, transaction submitted. If it succeeds, there will be a green tick. If it fails, a red cross. If it fails, you can try again; often waiting a minute and then clicking quickly will do the trick (take too long and price may change by too much)

Now check your metamask and should be all there! As you can see, I have 10 Billion wZNN ;)

Did the hobbits rest when they got to the black gate? No! They went through a giant spider’s lair and up an exploding volcano. Let’s continue this trek into the s y r i u s wallet where it will be safe and sound (and you can earn yield!)
8. Let’s go to the http://zenon.network website. For this part, you need to already have downloaded the syrius wallet and have an address you want to send your wZNN to where it will become ZNN.

9. Should go here. Read the boxes carefully and tick each if you agree, then click connect wallet to connect your metamask wallet to the bridge.

10. Sending the wZNN through the bridge to become ZNN in the s y r i u s wallet. Now you enter amount you wish to send, and put your syrius wallet address. Click swap and approve when the metamask pop-up comes … BUT! Be careful. There’s currently a bug which can cause the gas fee to be very high, up to 0.32BNB. But there’s a fix for it.
Send only a whole number, or to 2 decimal places. For example, send 50 ZNN, not 50.1 ZNN. Or send 100.45 ZNN, not 100.4 ZNN. Try this, and if it still fails clear that message and simply do it again. Using a whole number works best for me. Attempting it a second time will usually fix it, then the fees will be very low.

Choose view in BscSan and wait for 1001 confirmations, may take 30min. A lot of confirmations I know. Transaction should appear in syrius wallet, plasma generated to receive incoming transaction etc.
11. Recline back in your sofa chair, put your feet up and play some victory music. Well done, you did it! You started off asking pancakeswap, is that a cooking website? And now you’re part of the ZNNAlien invasion.
One of the things I love about crypto culture is how people are busy building amazing stuff, but still somehow find the time to help new people. Much of their advice has been incorporated into here. I encourage you all to join the telegram and discord chats to keep up to date with this buying process and many other things.
