Jewels — I just remembered another point that I forgot to make in my previous response.

There are no federal regulations that apply to issues of Nepotism in the workplace. It is up to each company individually to make their own policies about personal relationships among employees in a direct reporting relationships. It is common for employers to require that their staff members disclose their romantic relationships to HR to head off any issues that could be chalked up to favoritism. But can policies around adult relationships really have teeth or be enforced in tangible ways? Not necessarily and certainly not in ways that would affect anyone after they left that company.
