This is really good advice! Also I really liked the “fit hits the shan” phrase and can absolutely see myself adding it to my lexicon.

Truthfully I am slowing backing away from the advice giving business because if I am being honest with myself, I will admit that I have probably made very little difference. My life has been a bit unusual so it’s probably best for me to stick to my own lane and only chime in when I can speak from direct personal experience. Sadly, it’s human nature to have to make our own mistakes for ourselves to be able to learn from them and unfortunately, that doesn’t always work either.

So instead I will write about what I know and hope that I can make connections that way. Isn’t that what most of us want in life anyway? To be heard and understood and to be told that we are not alone?
