Piku Piku: You’ll never get bored with this app!
What is Piku Piku?
Piku Piku is a free app to record and share fun GIFs or Repeating Video Clips, that play forwards and backwards in a continuous loop, using your iPhone or iPod Touch camera. Tap the shutter button once and Piku Piku does the rest.
Why did you make Piku Piku?
We did not want to burden GIFO (the app to make GIF Collages — that we launched in September, 2015) with the bloat of more features; therefore, we decided to build a completely new app which is fresh, lightweight and fun to use.
How did you come up with the name?
Thanks to Disneyland!
We spent a lot of time thinking about the name while building the app because we wanted something unique and funny. Finally, Amit (my brother) and I, while at the Disneyland Resort in Hong Kong heard photographers humorously say “Piku Piku” to kids as an instruction to smile. It made every one laugh and this is it :)
