Now it’s on us

I may be the first ever entrepreneur to ever say I hope I never need to launch my startup. I hope my users will have no need for it. I hope it just sits there, wasting away.

Time suggests that may not be the case.

As I watched the tragic events unfold in Paris, I felt your restlessness. I felt your desperate desire to help. People are good; we mean well. I believe that; I really do.

I saw my Facebook feed turned blue, white, and red over night. I read along as people thought critically about how to be supportive. I felt your struggle to find productive ways to help those in need.

Despite our best intentions, no one seemed to know how to help.

In the upcoming months, my team will be rolling out nowitson.us, a rapid response platform to help you quickly and effectively support those in need if tragedy strikes again.

You will be able to do any or all of the following, all from one page:

  • Sign relevant petitions on change.org
  • Read about and donate to nonprofits that support the victims
  • Enter your home address and find the phone number and email of your two Senators and Congressperson

Voting isn’t enough to maintain democracy. Democracy needs to happen everyday.

We can’t keep pointing fingers. We need to act if we want things to change. Enough is enough.

Now it’s on us.

Be ready to act. Sign up here: nowitson.us and like us on Facebook
