A lot of events have come to pass since the Election of OUR new president. And I do mean OUR, because regardless of what, our president elect is Donald J. Trump. Now let me say this. All of you people protesting, crying because you didn’t get your way, what is it you even want? More “educational opportunity”? “Equal” rights? The end of “Systematic Racism”? These are all things I heard while attending a Trump Protest in Columbus circle. Well let me tell you this: You protest this as you walk out of class. Really? Free college can’t happen. The tuition we pay covers the universities lights, gas, school supplies, food, teacher’s paychecks, ect. If college were to become free, how would these things be paid for? And please don’t say tax money because that raises taxes. Same thing goes for a higher minimum wage. You raise the wage, everything around it goes up. Living expenses go up.
Equal rights? You want equal rights for one group while infringing on another’s. Gay marriage. The bathroom laws. These are things that infringe on others people’s rights. But when we say our piece we are labeled as homophobic or racist or sexiest when that is far from the reason. And Equal rights for the ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS? What about the millions of AMERICAN BORN CITIZENS AND EMIGRATED CITIZENS that are stuck struggling to find a job because the illegal agreed to work for 6 dollars an hour?
America is the land of opportunity. The American Dream is attainable by any and every citizen that is willing to work for it. It is not tailored to appeal to any specific group. SYSTEMATIC RACISM DOES NOT EXSIST. Racism however does but it is not held by the system. Racism is a personal thing. EVERYONE, BLACK, WHITE, ASIAN, SPANISH, HAS EXPERIENCED IT. It is an obstacle in life that unfortunately is a very common view among many people to many races for their own reasons. It is not a system designed to keep minorities down or woman for that matter. How can you say that with all the successful people we have around us today?
America is a melting pot of culture and ethnicity, there is no pure anything anymore. No more pure “White” or “Black” race. We are all mixed with many different cultures and come from different backgrounds. We cannot be given the same opportunity. We cannot all live the same life. We all have different choices to make, different opportunities to take. But this is what makes all of us Americans.
With that being said, it is time America focus on AMERICA AND IT’S AMERICANS.
AS A MILLENNIAL, HISPANIC, PHILLPINA, FEMALE, I STAND BY MY VOTE FOR DONALD TRUMP. I DO NOT BELIEVE HE IS RACIST, SEXIEST OR ANY OF THE THINGS THE MEDIA OR OTHERS MAY SAY. AND I DO NOT FEAR FOR MINE OR MY FAMILY'S WELL BEING.
