Let’s go paragraph by paragraph.
Communities of color are patrolled more heavily because of crime rates in those communities. These are not only drug related crimes. Not to mention while Drug abuse is higher in other communities , that dos not mean that drug sales and other crimes are up as well. When looking at why Police presence is so heavy in one place, you have to look the entire crime rate of the place, not just the rate of a single crime.
Yes police use more force than necessary sometimes, and you are right it is not against one specific race.
You say police are more likely to pull over or stop POC? That is because POC commit crimes at disproportionate rates. This has nothing to do with their race. They do not commit the crime because they are black.
Selling loose cigs is not a death sentence. Resisting arrest and not cooperating with officers orders can be.
Me and friend have been stopped by police many of times for different things. Stupid things. Ultimately we knew the cops only targeted us because of things like the color of our skin, the way that we looked, or where they thought we were from. But even with them thinking this, do you know we have never really had an unpleasant experience with police? Because we have been respectful, we cooperated with them instead of whatever else other people may do.
Again until you walk a year in their shoes you have no idea what they have to deal with on a daily basis.
