No I do not think you are forcing anything. But see by saying something, I would been pushing them to accept me. So instead I went about my time in school as usual. I said hello to them, engaged in conversations that often turned in to heated debates on their side. But i never let any of it phase me nor did I say anything to anyone in authority. Why? Because they were scared of a stereotype. I needed to show them I did not fit that stereotype. I needed them to see that I wasn’t different just because now they knew my religion. I broke the negative stereotype.
