OK and here we go.

I know the past and I acknowledge how it shaped the world today. But that is the past. I do not want to see things go back to those ways.

And no people do not care about race or religion or gender whatever. What they do care about is having someone force them to do something that is against their view simply because their view offends the other person.

I was shunned in high school after people knew I was a wiccan. 6 people talked to me. Others preached to me or tried to frame me just because. I even had my study books stolen. It bothered me yes. But I never said anything about it. Why? Because the person I am was not the stereotype they saw.

Stereotypes. Speaking of stereotypes, I do not believe you understand what I said in my first response.

“Yes people of color are plagued by negative stereotype and it does hurt them. But it is not just a black stereotype. If a white person acted ghetto, committed crimes and disrespected the police, They would fit into the same stereotype. The GHETTO stereotype. This is the stereotype damages the race’s face.”

I said this because it is true. The Ghetto stereotype does plague the black race as well as many other people who are of different races.

Have you ever been turned down for a job simply because of where you live? Have you ever had a teacher come up to you and ask you if you know who the man was that gunned down on your block and what for? You talk about people asking questions based on your race? Well how about always being questioned about your neighborhood? Having friends ask if you know where to “cop bud” or having to avoid those you “cop bud” because you’ve seen them with a gun? Do you walk to the store at night and have to constantly look over your shoulder because you something is about to pop off and you don’t want to be any where near it?

White people, black people, spanish people, Asian people, All of these people live in the Ghetto and to put it plain and simple :

IF YOU ACT LIKE YOU ARE GHETTO, SPEAK LIKE YOU ARE GHETTO, OR LOOK LIKE YOU ARE GHETTO YOU WILL FALL INTO THE STEREOTYPE AT FIRST GLANCE.

People who live in these places and do not fall into the stereotype struggle every day to not give in, to show people around them that they are better then what they are surrounded by.

You want to break the negative face for black people? Then get more black people to break the negative stereotype.
