A few words of reflection

When you’re going through hell, keep going. — Winston Churchill

Elvis Presley — You’ll Never Walk Alone

sometimes God rewards those who put his word to use not by finding them a cushy seat amongst the sheep, by instead by sending them out amongst the wolves to do his bidding.

Do not say “Why is it that the former days were better than these?” For it is not from wisdom that you ask about this. Wisdom along with inheritance is good and an advantage to those who see the sun. For wisdom is protection just as money is protection, but the advantage of knowledge is that wisdom preserves the lives of its possessors. — Ecclesiastes 7:10–12

even those of us who find ourselves outcast and derelict, there will always be refuge and wisdom to be found in those words of our elders or the holy words of scripture. my advice is to tell the cab driver to take you to the nearest library, and step on it.

Lord, take your word and apply it to our minds that we might not grow shallow. And apply it to our hearts, that we might not grow cold. And apply it to our feet, that we might not just be hearers of the word, but doers also. — Pastor Isaac Hunter
