Then compare that fictional interview with this real interview with Obama, where he sharply distinguishes between specialized and generalized AI (a difference most general tech developers are ignorant of) and the key aspect of transparency in the way we develop AIs and the danger of not knowing what is going (e.g. allowing machine learning tools to develop their own models that work AND that we don’t understand).
For me this comparison is heartbreaking and I envy a nation that has this kind of visionary leadership on its side.
