Why I Hate Edmodo

Edmodo is a social network similar to Facebook, which is used only for collaboration “outside” the school teacher — class.

Even my class and my school uses Edmodo, are we sure that it is suitable for teachers-class communications?

Today, sniffing the internet application connection to smartphones, I discover that sends build, version of Android, the model of the device, information about the ROM and the product number.

The Services contain links to other sites. We are not responsible for the privacy policies and/or practices on other sites (but you should read all third parties’ privacy policies to ensure you understand them). This Privacy Policy only governs information collected by Edmodo on the Services.

The site is https://data.flurry.com, Edmodo does not specify which send data or receives data from flurry.com but it provides a whitelist of sites that serve to operate Edmodo (https://support.edmodo.com/hc/en-us/articles/205010654-URL-whitelist-Admins-), speaking vaguely to send or receive information from third parties.

Are we sure that this platform is safe?

Why the privacy policy is written with uncertain terms about whether to share data?

Why from a list of addresses to put whitelist but it does not explain what they do?

Edmodo sells the data it receives to other companies?
