There comes a stage in our lives when we tend to gravitate towards wanting freedom of expression, living and independence. We begin calling ourselves a man or a woman, and are infuriated when being referred to as a boy/girl. But, when is this all set in motion?

R.I.P 2 My Youth may seems blasphemous at first sight, but it’s the truth behind growing up and being the individual you are today. There were situations, judgements and actions that you had to take to be the man you’ve become. You are no longer naive. This is one of the most difficult tasks, losing your youth and growing up and this comes sooner for some and may require some more time and guidance for others.

It is a reflection upon the “awesome opportunities you’ve had.”

We all have to take decisions that shape our future, like the decision of choosing our friends, leaving some behind, falling in love and achieving success in the game of ball, falling into deep waters, all add to the learning curve. It’s your perseverance to achieve highs and leave behind your timid self, that is reliant on others for his growth.

You don’t only take these opportunities to move ahead in life, but each opportunity, each decision has a lesson in store for you. You can grow up and be the man you want to be, but you surely have to face some hurdles, cross some lines, maybe fall head first, bleed and get bruised( maybe virtually, emotional wounds ), and finally cross the finish line limping too.

But now you are a man who has learned from his mistakes and is ready to tackle the problems thrown at him with confidence and vigor, with a spirit full of want and hunger. A hunger to move forward and break free of the shackles that may try to bind you and slow you down.

Go ahead, take the awesome opportunities that come your way, move out of your comfort zone and understand this thing called “LIFE” , and maybe beat it at it’s own game (someday) :P
