In other words, Conservatism. The GOP was dragged over to Conservatism by Reagan and it has since taken a detour back to its more progressive ways, which began with Teddy roosevelt.

The party leadership continuously disavows its founding principles and despite midterm successes on the backs of the Tea Party / Libertarian movements, it remains a weak, if at all, opposition to all the destructive policies of the so-called Democratic party.

The 60% of us who cannot possibly vote for Trump need to weigh the pros and cons of holding our collective noses in November or enduring yet another term (or two) of progressive rot.

Unfortunately, given the lack of success of third party candidates throughout history, we will most likely need to, once again, choose the lesser of two evils.
