I’m working on my first nonfiction book proposal — do you have any go-to resources for creating a proposal? How much of it (the proposal, the book) should be done before I start actively querying agents? Are there common query letter mistakes that newbies need to make sure they avoid? (I know some of these are 101-level questions, so feel free to tell me to Google — I’d love to hear about anything that’s typically overlooked or your favorite resources, though!
