This is such an important topic and great read! I’ll be sharing this for sure.

I feel like a huge obstacle for junior [learning] developers is lack of confidence. It seems like they think they need to wait until “they are ready” to start building, or even exploring/learning, on their own. From what I’ve seen, they greatly undervalue themselves and wait way too long before reaching out and beginning the journey to landing “that first job”.

I remember the feeling myself. Until you’re “in” (especially if you don’t have any connections in the industry) it can feel impossible when you are just getting started. As more experienced developers, I feel like we tend to forget how daunting that process really was!
