ML Day #5 — “Least Complex Form”
Imagine a product which reduces statements to their “most efficient form.” E.g. you write to your coworker:
“Hey John, could you take the coffee machine and move it closer to the refrigerator?”
The system changes this into:
“John, move the coffee machine closer to the refrigerator.”
It seems like these style-transfer systems are all designed to minimize some sort of entropic/informational difference, which is precisely what this would be doing (find a linguistic form that minimizes informational difference throughout the CNN while simultaneously minimizing length/sentence complexity).
This produces the idea of “Least Complex Form” of data, which is interesting.
