Why not write in the language they already know instead of forcing them to jump through hoops, if not reducing your employee talent pool?

Knowing a language doesn’t necessarily mean it’s right for the job. If that would have been the case, all softwares would have been written in C probably. People found limitations in current languages, built better languages to suite their needs and used it. In my honest opinion, that’s what happened here.
