All Hail the fashionable, Queen Wisdom:
What is your full name, nickname, origin or meaning and pronunciation?
Katrina Charles but you can call me Wisdom — the wise one
Where are you from?
Brooklyn, New York
What do you do?
I am an accessory designer and stylist.
Why are you in this field?
I believe that we as people define ourselves not society. We all have a creative bug in us and some of are afraid to use or lack the confidence to express ourselves freely. I’ve always would look notice some of my fellow Queens and say, “if she would wear a red lip- she would pop”! “All she needs is a belt to cinch in that waist and the outfit is complete”, or “her arms are bare, maybe if she wore some bangles along with some colorful earrings it will pull the entire outfit together”. I believe in the total package when it comes to fashion and in order to complete some looks it takes creativity and boldness! Growing up everyone would shop my closet and ask me to style them. I’ve been styling since the age of 16, I have 24 years of experience. My passion started with doing hair in my grandmothers basement to me leaving the nest and moving to Washington, DC to attend Dudley Cosmetology school. From styling from hair to makeup down to the shoes at an early age is when I realized I had a gift. During all of my styling and creating experiences it would bring me closer to whoever I was working with, some would even call it therapy, I call it evolving.

My quote I live nu is to “live my life and not just exist. To continue to powerfully move with purpose. Why? I lived many years as a shell and I lost my soul. Any dope Fashion Tips?
It has to start from the follicles of your head down to your toe nails. It is essential that as a woman you know who you are and have a signature look even with the switch ups. I thinks looking seamless and effortless is the way to go. How I see this happening is by always having the basics, a black dress, a maxi dress, fitted jeans and always keep cute tees, ripped shirts can be worn black slacks. A maxi dress is very casual with a pair of kicks and ripped denim jacket on a cool day. It’s all about the mix and match and the accessorizing with pieces of wisdom .
