Transgender Strength

You have been abandoned by family and friends.

You have been harassed and verbally assaulted.

You experienced heartbreak as your spouse left you.

You cried as your children were taken from you.

You were told by your church that you were no longer welcome.

You lost your job.

You lost your home.

You lost your possessions.

You have bought black market hormones.

You have been sexually assaulted or raped.

You have been beaten.

You have tried to kill yourself and somehow survived.

You are still here.

This is me. This is you, my transgender brother and sister.

You are still here.

Your spirit is indefatigable.

You are still here.
