School has this funny way of making kids that are “different” feel extra-different, extra-weird, extra-not-normal. But you know what? Get out into the real world, and the most valuable thing you could possibly have is to be “different.”
When your heart breaks, it’s only because you’ve been somehow lucky enough to find and try for something so wonderful that you couldn’t help giving your heart to it. That’s a remarkable thing on its own.
Our meeting would not be to forge a friendship, but to pay homage to the connection we once had. Like putting flowers on a grave.
