Very well said Chris Sacca. Really appreciate your honesty and sensitivity around this topic.
Although I am a woman, I too feel responsible for not being there for a fellow victim in times of need irrespective of their gender. I am certain we all have had the moments when we have been blind to the woes of the bullied. We either did nothing to alleviate their pain or did something to increase it instead.
We as humans find it difficult to understand and see beyond our differences of ideology and preferences. There is no one person or group or company or nation to be blamed for this…
What we are seeing at this time with all these conversations and sensational reports around discrimination and harassment feels like a volcano. It had been in the making for a very very long time and has found a fissure in the fabric of reality to erupt at this time. If we all come together now and fix the core issues right, we might be able to lay some good foundation of understanding, resilience and openness for a better future. We need to rise above the blame game and analyze the core problem to come up with a solution. We as engineers are really good at debugging. Its time to put those skills to some good use!
