How to Procrastinate
and procrastinating on procrastination
I just can’t bring myself-no matter how close to the deadline I am-to do my projects or assignments until the very last minute and I am talking walking in the hallway still writing on my notes that need to be handed in that very second. I am a constant disappointment to my expectations, but at the same time I don’t stress it and don’t worry too much.
Maybe if I did worry, I would get things done and have extremely decent grades, but alas life is not perfect and I still do not worry. Here I will teach you how to not worry and not do your work on time.
Step 1.
Pick up whatever assignment you need to get done and start doing it. Just go at it. Write down whatever you know about it, start working on building that workbench, just do what needs to be done. Continue for 10-15 minutes.
Step 2.
Stop. And don’t just stop and walk away from it; stop and sit there, in front of your assignment, so you know that you’re not doing it.
Step 3.
Walk away. Walk off and find something else that you want to do. That will be the fun part.
Step 4.
Wallow in your decision to walk away and decide maybe you should pick things up again.
Step 5.
Over rule that decision with a ‘fuck you’ attitude and do what you really want to do in life not what you’re forced to do.
That is my process of procrastination. If you would like to procrastinate your procrastination, between steps 3 and 4 repeat steps 2 through 5.
