Interesting post. The micropayment point was new to me (and makes sense), but it still feels as if Bitcoin is the answer to a question no one is asking. And in these days of increased public anxiety about security, the label ‘crypto-currency’ is at best a liability and worst a euphemism for terror funding — at least in the press. That perception is not necessarily my view, but it’s out there and gaining (ahem) currency with the public.
