Applying for Nationality, Applicants was Approve Regardless of Meeting Requirements
The Former Director of Immigration Ruth Meighan denied seeing physical copies of applicants. She testified before the Senate Special Select Committee according to The Reporter Newspaper. What made it worst is when the help of the Ministers who wanted to get applicants approved, mislead some documents that was overlooked which resulted in some “incomplete.” It affected the visa card process also passports. Meighan said she did not question the ministers nor the officers in the department and believed what was given to her, she accepted it. Each documents was suppose to be seen by her first before approval. Meighan went on to say that the department had a “electronic signature” of hers on file that they used, even at a time when she no longer worked there.
