I agree, but I also don’t think it’s a bad thing.

That’s actually the best thing about this film, I think — that each (supporting) character was their own person and had a life and story that was tied to the panther, but could stand without it.

A lot of movies give supporting characters less than supporting roles, so it was pretty awesome (imo) that every character brought their own drama to the plot.
