I do. I actively manage my email. My inbox is a quiet place I can gaze at all day. I think the key is doing it once — go through all the crap and kill the useless subscriptions. I don’t use Gmail tabs either, my inbox has less than ten mails in it. I keep mails I actively have to follow up with — package tracking till it’s delivered, flight tickets till the day of, event tickets till the day of, and bills till the day they’re due/day I pay them off. I love managing my email I think you should too. And actively use the unsubscribe feature without a fear of missing out.

I love email. No one’s come up with something that’s asynchronous and gives you complete control right till the moment you decide to send your response . I don’t care about services that provide read receipts. If you chose to email me, you don’t get to demand a response the moment I open it or read it. I use email whenever and wherever I can. I wish I had more email in my life.
