This is gonna be long… that’s what she said

Online is a sad place to be right now. Outside is a scary place to be right now. I think our society needs a makeover. I think we’ve needed that for a very long time. It’s like, I get it. Police made a stupid decision in what happened with Alton Sterling, and his case isn’t the only one, which makes it worse. You know, I saw a video this morning of a police officer who tazed a boy for TWENTY THREE SECONDS, which is three times as long as an officer is supposed to during a stop. He had no reason for stopping the car. When the boy asked why he was being pulled over, the cop had no answer, which was stupid. The cop said later that he pulled the car over because he thought the plate was linked to a stolen vehicle. That boy now has permanent brain damage. I’m sure if you Googled it, you could find the story. Everyone is jumping on the black lives matter movement, and I get that too. Black lives DO matter. White lives matter. Mexican lives matter. Asian lives matter. Every life matters. People try to tell me that the only reason I think that is because I’m white and I’m privileged, but no. I’m far from privileged. And I am white, but I’ve never cared what color I am or what color you are. We all matter as human beings. THAT’S the reason I think that. Police need to stop killing PEOPLE. Yes, they need to stop killing black people, but they need to stop killing white people too. On that note, PEOPLE NEED TO STOP BEING STUPID AND JUST LISTENING TO THE POLICE. I know, I know, “how am I supposed to trust someone who already has a gun pointed in my face?” If the cop already has a gun pointed in your face before they ask you to do something, something’s wrong. That goes back to the point that police need to stop killing people. Someone told me that the only reason I can remain objective is because nothing like this has ever happened to me. False. I remain objective because I see where everyone is coming from and I UNDERSTAND where they’re coming from. Understanding. That’s what we need to help us overcome. I saw a post by Kevin Hart the other day. It was a quote from martin Luther King Jr. that said, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate. Only love can do that.” I have never heard truer words. Someone commented on the post and called him a coward. Told Kevin Hart that he was spineless for thinking that. 1. MLK Jr. originally said the words. You just called MLK Jr. spineless. You dumb. 2. Why does that make Kevin a coward? It is so easy to seek revenge. Do you know how hard it is not to react with violence when someone is violent toward you? Try it. Our human nature makes us want revenge and want to fight, but it’s a vicious, neverending cycle. In regards to the Dallas killings in response to what happened with Alton Sterling and Philandro Castile, how did that solve anything? If you want cops to stop killing black people, and you go kill a bunch of cops, how does that make anything better? What did you fix? Nothing. Drug dealers killed my uncle. Did I go after them? Did I try and kill them? No. They’re going to have to live with what they did for the rest of their lives. It’s not up to me whether they live or die. They could have died a week later. That’s God’s decision. He did what he thought was fit. I saw a post on Facebook yesterday, and a woman was calling others to come together and kill cops because it’s what they deserve. Says who? Since when do we as human beings decide who lives or dies? Last time I checked, the death penalty was over, and nobody can make that choice. I was disgusted when I saw that. We can’t change what has already happened. Sometimes that sucks because we really, reallywant to. God will take care of it. Faith. The sooner we realize that WE ARE ONE, the sooner the world can get better. Last post sighting that I’ll share. I saw one a few days ago that said, “What’s really sad is that overseas people of every race are DYING for our freedom, and we’re over here killing each other.” Think about that.
