How to make a click-spreadable tweet

Here is the story: you follow the link in the tweet and you are guided to a page with the exact same content of this tweet ready to send, with the link at the end. Once it appears on the timeline it just spreads away — well, actually, it depends on your circle and how you compose the tweet — and your notification comes waterfalling.

Well, tweets are immutable, how do we make this?

Find a short-url service providing aliases for links, for example in this case Bitly. Append something after the bit.ly/ url and see if this link is occupied.

Start with a URL in the shape ‘twitter.com/intent/tweet?text=[your-intended-content-here]’. This URL contains the content you want to appear in the box, so you should be working in the address bar!

It’s good to notify someone of any triggering by calling that guy in the tweet, but what we we expect is to include the undeclared URL in the tweet body, so that this tweet could spread before dying out, though at this time this link has not come to live yet. Work on your tweet until it’s ready. Tips: escape space with some magic words ‘%20’, and refer to the document.

Have your URL shorted, it should look like a random string. If you send someone this short url, he should be able to tweet what you prepared with just another click.

And this is what the alias comes: get your empty URL, and redirect the random link to this url. If you followed the exact steps here, it’s done. You created a recursive retweetable spreadable link!

And now, just trigger the link. If you are lucky enough, this should grow among your followers and their followers. Well you are not really causing a DDoS or something…compared to the daily routine of Twitter.

And you can create mutual recursive flirting links by slightly changing some of the rules and play with your spouse or your cat or your remote control…Now you levelled up in twittering.
